Scholarship Fund

First Congregational Church Scholarships are awarded for undergraduate study at accredited institutions to students living in the Greater Waterbury area. Scholarships are granted on the basis of financial need, scholastic standing and Church and Community activities.
First Church of Waterbury gives out thousands of dollars in scholarships each year to area students attending college. Most scholarships are $1000 and are renewable for 4 years, provided the student maintains a minimum grade. If you are interested in receiving an application for one of our many scholarships, please call or email the church office. Application can also be download below.
Applications must be received April 1st of the new calendar year.
All applications must be returned to First Congregational Church, 222 West Main Street, Waterbury, CT 06702.

NEW APPLICATIONS must be received by APRIL 1st of every year of the new calendar year.

RENEWAL APPLICATIONS (if you have received a scholarship from us in the past) must also be received by April 1st of the new calendar year.

Every question must be answered fully. If a question is not applicable to you, insert N/A. Transcript and reference MUST BE INCLUDED, and the application MUST be received by the due date to be considered. (NOTE: Renewal Applicants who are unable to obtain a transcript of their grades before April 1st may submit a Xeroxed copy of their first semester grades in lieu of the transcript.)

Applications must be signed by student and parent or guardian.
